Hone Your Mind - Psalm 24

5 hic accipiet benedictionem a Domino, et misericordiam a Deo salutari suo.
6 Hæc est generatio quærentium eum, quærentium faciem Dei, Jacob.
7 Attollite portas, principes vestras, et elevamini portæ æternales, et introibit rex gloriæ.
8 Quis est iste rex gloriæ? Dominus fortis et potens, Dominus potens in prælio.
9 Attollite portas, principes vestras, et elevamini portæ æternales, et introibit rex gloriæ.
10 Quis est iste rex gloriæ? Dominus virtutum ipse est rex gloriæ.

Comments and questions:
3 Quis ascendet in montem Domini? aut quis stabit in loco sancto ejus?
4 qui non accepit in vano animam suam
Note the answer - who does not take his own mind/soul in vain
It does not say the Lords' mind/soul/name in vain! Who could venture an explanation for that?

7 Attollite portas, principes vestras, et elevamini portæ æternales, et introibit rex gloriæ.
Your rulers must open the city gates?
How about the gates of your mind?
Will the Lord come in?

KJV Psalm 24 - audio

Psalm 24 King James Version (KJV)
1 The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.
3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place?
4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
5 He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
8 Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
10 Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Comments and questions:
5 ..,and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
righteousness

The KJV was translated into English by a group of 47 scholars with various literary and ecclesiastical assets, they use the word 'righteousness'. Yet what does it mean? Are they correct?
Like with Jacob, we can use the word meaning to be right with God, a friend to God. Did Jacob achieve 'righteousness', by finding or understanding God's rightness?

Meditations on righteousness

Can you be right with God?
Can you be a friend to God?
How is God friends with you?
Do you find wrongness?
Do you find rightness?
Who created that wrongness or rightness?
